As a German specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, Dr Keifer explained that the physical consequences include increased heart rate, palpitations, excessive sweating, muscle tension, sleep disturbances, high blood pressure, and the associated risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Additionally, physical symptoms may manifest as teeth grinding, migraine attacks, and acute episodes in individuals with skin conditions and chronic pain, while Psychological consequences range from anxiety and inner turmoil to burnout and depression.

Relaxation Techniques:

To avoid these severe consequences, Dr Keifer recommended confronting psychological stress through relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, progressive muscle relaxation, and mindfulness training.

Engaging in physical exercise and outdoor activities in natural settings also has a positive impact on blood circulation, blood pressure, and mental well-being.
