With heavy hearts, tearful eyes, sadness, and sorrow, the United Arab Emirates bid farewell to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who passed away on Friday, the twelfth of Shawwal 1423 AH (May 13, 2022 AD), our only condolences are that his works will remain immortal, its effects extending to future generations, going down in history’s brightest pages.
The humane aspect of the personality of the late Sheikh Khalifa, God rest his soul, had a profound impact on people’s love for him, their appreciation for his great heart, and his tolerance and kindness, which reached all corners of the earth, starting with his country, the Emirates, which was overwhelmed with love and giving, to all the deprived and tormented in the world.
Every day, the name of Khalifa is engraved in golden letters on a hospital he built or a mosque he reconstructed, and most importantly, his name is engraved in the hearts of the needy and the afflicted, whether refugees or people with special needs, his journey is rich in humanitarian efforts that will not be forgotten.
We thank God that the path of goodness, growth, and pride continues, after his passing, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “may God protect him and his care”, who learned and graduated from the Founder Zayed School, carries the responsibility.
Sheikh Mohammed has always been a supporter and backer of his brother in his rule and the path of empowerment, a leader loved by hearts before being a ruler.
With His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai as well as their brothers, their Highnesses Sheikhs and Rulers of the Emirates, we look forward to a new and prosperous future, as the UAE’s fortress remain impenetrable by the grace of God as intended by Zayed.
By God Almighty’s will, the determination of the people of the country and their support of their wise leadership, our ship will proceed with full speed toward our goal, represented in having a high and prestigious position as well as a good and honourable reputation, so that the Emirates remain an oasis of security, safety, progress and advancement.
