The UAE Always Sees the Glass Half Full

The leadership of the United Arab Emirates always adopts a glass-half-full vision across all sectors and fields of development in the country, regardless of the circumstances, consistently striving to elevate services and procedures that support its goals of achieving global leadership.

What we, as officials in the government team, have learned from our leaders is that flexibility is the key to overcoming challenging times, and achieving goals is a top priority for any successful team. This was evident in the positive outcomes of the recent Cabinet meeting.

In addition to progress and growth in various sectors, a decision supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, allocated AED 2 billion to address the damages incurred to citizens’ homes during the recent natural crisis.

Moreover, a ministerial committee has been tasked with monitoring this issue and assessing damages, coordinating with federal and local authorities to provide compensation.

This decision reaffirms the leadership’s focus on its primary goal, which it has not wavered from since the recent weather disturbances in the country.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised that “the safety and security of citizens and residents are the government’s top priorities.”

Regarding the recent exceptional weather conditions, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stated that it was “a blessing.” He highlighted the positive aspects, such as the filling of dams, beneficial rain flowing in valleys, and the replenishment of groundwater reserves.

He also emphasized the significant lessons learned in dealing with heavy rainfall in our advanced cities. This teaches us, as officials, to always focus on the positives of any situation we face, to be flexible, and to strive to overcome any obstacles to achieve our goals.

On my part, I extend my sincere thanks to all the specialized field teams that worked tirelessly during the weather disturbances, and to the volunteers who set remarkable examples of courage and patriotism.
