Since its inception, Civil Defense authorities across the globe main task was to (respond to crisis and disasters incidents) when occur, but with the development witnessed in the systems and strategies of professional work, having a futuristic vision and preplans for (Crisis and Disasters Management) before even it occur, became a main part of their thought and applications, hence organizational units were formed, training programs were set , modern equipment and apparatuses were provided and advanced technologies are used to deal with such crisis and disasters.
When the Novel Corona virus (pandemic) emerged, as global challenge, which threatening human life everywhere, different energies are mobilized to face , our country took the lead through various entities including “ National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority”, “ Ministry of Health” , “ Ministry of Interior” and other concerned entities to internally face the pandemic, in addition to many initiatives set to support other countries affected, by sending medical equipments and assistances, indeed our wise leadership was the first world leader to mobilizing and hosting people of different nationalities stranded in China and in other countries, to Dubai and providing them with necessary health care, prior to send them safe and sound back to their countries.
Civil Defense Authority, as an active member of local and Federal Crisis and Disasters Management Committees, undertakes specific tasks in National Strategy for Disinfection, Dubai Civil Defense teams have efficiently and effectively carried out Day and Night Preventive Disinfection Operations (PDO) at tens of main locations, including economic, service and high density populated residential facilities, in addition same teams visited hundreds of labor accommodation camps to ensure pandemic precautionary safety measures are in place, spreading preventive awareness amongst labor, placing anti- virus transmission awareness tips placards at labor camps, educating labor on cleaning skills to protect themselves from the Corona virus and stopping pandemic spread.
Despite the fact that, this pandemic is a sudden global challenge, it is also an opportunity for concerned authorities, all government departments, private sector organizations, society members both locals and residents to express their sincere allegiance towards nation and its leadership, confirming their gratitude towards society, keenness to ensure safety for all, through supporting preventive measures taken by concerned bodies, commitment to set instruction themed stay home ( Khalik fi AL bait) initiative, to combat and curb the pandemic from spreading, in order to restore life back to normality following the withdrawal of the (pandemic) and taking off again towards growth and development.
