“Al-Sana” (The art of Emirati etiquette in dealing with others) has its imprint on both of present and future of nations, as these customs and traditions reinforce the people’s identity, giving direction to future generations, and in the UAE, that concept represents a set of values, traditions and societal rules that are passed down from father to son.
However, Al-Sana does not hinder the process of adapting to the present and the necessity of progress, because its concept corresponds with the inherited values.
These values are the foundation of the work that builds societies, countries, and the future of individuals within them, therefore we emphasize practicing the practical application of Al-Sana instilling its values in our children at home so that it can be the true compass that guides society towards an integrated foundation compatible with the goals and strategies of building a country that needs its citizens thinking, mind, work and behavior.
We also believe that these customs and traditions reflect the reality and circumstances present during the foundation of UAE, and thus it is considered as a real building block in the foundation of civilization, in which without it we wouldn’t have such a strong foundation rooted in the country’s sands, seen as a future of protecting the nation’s gains and building of man.
Who has no past, has no present or future, with this comprehensive and clear saying of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, it becomes clear that the UAE’s leadership was focused since the very beginning on rooting in the past and emphasizing the values supporting national identity and the origin of good citizenship among members of society.
This prompts the individual to perform his duties with honesty and sincerity, and sees that his future is part of his country’s future, realizing that his efforts and work will benefit him, his children and country, because the land he lives on represents for him a source of pride, survival and decent life.
Finally, we must be inspired by these values and hold on to the Emirati Sana of our wise leadership to build together a homeland characterized by unity, harmony, loyalty and belonging, a homeland that provides the prosperity, progress and civilization.
What we are experiencing today is the result of efforts rooted in the unlimited loyalty of the leadership and people of the UAE to their homeland as well as a continuity to the ambition of building and progress, until the UAE became a destination for people from all over the world and a role model.
