The launch of the “The Most Beautiful Winter” campaign for the second time came by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, out of his belief that working as one Emirati team in the tourism sector will extend its good effects to all regions to invigorate domestic tourism in the UAE. It will enhance the UAE’s global reputation as a diverse and rich destination for tourists to learn about the most important internal tourist attractions in the Emirates.
Through it, His Highness identified the objectives, enablers and related plans within the internal tourism strategy to encourage tourism in the UAE in winter, because this season provides an opportunity to learn about the beautiful natural, geographical and heritage components in all parts of the country, and to visit unique landmarks and different distinctive destinations, given that the UAE wise leadership believes that tourism is one of the main pillars of national economy.
An invitation was sent to the concerned authorities in the UAE to adopt strategies and initiatives aiming at developing an integrated tourism system, in coordination with the various local and federal bodies and institutions concerned with the tourism, heritage, culture and community entertainment sector.
We at Dubai Civil Defense work within an integrated system under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior and the General Command of Civil Defense, to contribute effectively to supporting all national initiatives, as the nature of our work requires constant preparation to preserve lives and property and to be responsive by developing human and technical capabilities and providing all means and equipment that enable us to perform our work at any time and place, and as our country is characterized by its geographical diversity and different natural terrains, from towering mountains, extended islands, beautiful beaches, natural reserves, and the desert with its charming golden sands, to cultural monuments, high towers, various tourist resorts and large commercial centers, all these features require us to be able, with God’s help and the support of our wise leadership, to deal with various incidents wherever they occur, and to work together at the State level and in coordination with all civil defense departments in the Emirates, and all the competent authorities in the State through a single system to address crises and emergencies, in order to ensure achieving the strategic goals and objectives of the State and the success of all initiatives, through our permanent presence to secure events in a manner befitting the reputation that characterizes our beloved country, in terms of readiness and ability to respond quickly.
Previous experiences have proven that the Civil Defense is capable through its trained and qualified cadres at the highest levels, its rightly-distributed centers in all regions, and through modern vehicles and equipment, and continuous coordination with all authorities in the country, to provide assistance and access all those who need it, whether they are on land, sea and in all places.
Since the Dubai Civil Defense, is a key partner in all the events and activities that the emirate is witnessing, it will always be present in the “most beautiful winter in the world” to make the second season a success and achieve its goals and objectives, and for the UAE to be a source of pride for its citizens, residents and visitors.
