Through a clear strategy, the UAE’s wise leadership established a reliable approach to excellence and innovation, rooted in keeping up with the aspirations of the next fifty years in various fields, especially regarding the armed forces, founded on a culture of innovation and excellence.
Therefore, the Ministry of Defense has honored a group of male and female officers, non-commissioned officers, civilians, soldiers, retirees, and national service recruits from various disciplines, who won the awards in the 4th cycle of the “Armed Forces Excellence and Innovation Award,” which aims to honor and motivate outstanding performance and encourage positive competition.
This award aims to help translate into reality the vision of the military leadership, represented in the continuation of work towards enhancing the role of the armed forces to achieve the strategic objectives of building a deterrent military force armed with the latest equipment, systems, and technologies, which in turn requires preparation and the implementation of comprehensive defense modernization programs that enable the armed forces to carry out their assigned duties.
The Armed Forces Excellence and Innovation Award represents an extension of the UAE’s pioneering path in government excellence, embodied in the directives and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, “God bless him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “God bless him”.
It embodies the country’s efforts toward consolidating a culture of innovation and investment in the human element, enhancing the UAE’s ability to compete globally, and transforming the concept of innovation and excellence into a sustainable institutional culture in various areas of governmental work.
With great success in identifying innovators from the various units of the armed forces, the award opens up leadership horizons for distinguished innovators to launch initiatives and projects that enhance military capabilities and supply the defense industrial sector with projects and ideas stemming from clear operational needs, which enhances the innovation and distinction of the armed forces.
