Abu Dhabi’s organization of the activities of the 15th edition of “IDEX 2021” and the sixth edition of “NAVDEX 2021” on their date this year reflected the great international confidence in the ability of the United Arab Emirates to organize the largest international exhibitions according the most up-to-date and best practices, as the UAE, despite of the pandemic which storms the world, succeeded in organizing an exceptional event in a safe and professional manner that caught the eyes of everyone and dazzled them, and successfully launched the recovery phase from the Corona pandemic crisis.
The two exhibitions were beyond any doubt a true mirror of the comprehensive renaissance in the UAE, and the stability it enjoys at all levels.
The special edition of the two exhibitions this year also established their place among the most important defence exhibitions in the world, which showcases the latest systems and innovations in the military sector, as the event attracted over a period of 5 days more than 62 thousand visitors from different parts of the world, and about 900 exhibitors with 1,300 companies from more than 60 countries, and about 110 international delegations of decision-makers, investors and experts.
This big event, which stunned the world, placed the UAE in an advanced position and established its position in supporting the national defence industries, as the proportion of national companies participating in the two exhibitions constituted about 16 percent of the companies participating in them, and this matter confirms that the UAE is moving steadily towards strengthening local non-oil industries and it contributes to achieving the goals of “UAE Centennial 2071” and “Abu Dhabi Vision 2030”.
The astonishing success of IDEX and NAVDEX 2021 exhibitions would not have been possible without the great support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The success of the event is a translation of the experience, professionalism and practice of the UAE in organizing international events in various forms and fields, and no obstacles can impede it, as it has great leaders who do not know the impossible.
