The National Day is an occasion to fulfill and renew the pledge, to honor the founding leaders, headed by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, May God rest his soul, and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, May God have mercy on him, for their efforts, thoughts and work in order to transform the Union into a reality, strengthen the pillars of the State of unity, confirm its presence in its regional and international framework, devote the value of unity in the hearts and minds of Emiratis, who renew the pledge to our wise leadership, headed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, “May God protect him”, thanks to ours people’s loyalty and work in order to maintain the gains of the State of the Union, and keep its banner fluttering in international forums.
The fiftieth National Day comes this year while the UAE is at the peak of its progress and advancement, after the first place has become associated with its name in various fields of development, with the testimony of major and credible regional bodies and institutions.
If the second of December represents a national memory and a cultural shift full of great achievements that speak of the splendor and greatness of what has been achieved in the Union State in various aspects of life, this civilizational development has been accompanied by a development of another kind, which is building the human being through a comprehensive intellectual, cultural and urban renaissance, and an unprecedented his development in all areas, socially, economically, scientifically and educationally, which made people of the Emirates confirm their presence in all fields and communicate with the outside world, and enabled them to give and work more than ever.
Our national day among our armed forces acquires a special meaning, felt by their members, as they are the guardians of Union experience and its protectors, and that the security of the great nation and the protection of its potentials and wealth is their first responsibility. On this day, members of our armed forces renew their loyalty to the President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “May God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their “Brothers”, Their Highnesses Sheikhs, members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the emirates, and they assure them of their willingness to sacrifice their lives in order to protect and defend the security of our dear homeland, and they pledge to make all efforts possible, with all the energies they have, so that the UAE army remains an institution worthy of the honor of belonging to the United Arab Emirates, capable of shouldering the responsibility of defending our dear and beloved homeland.
