Since its establishment, the UAE Armed Forces have been a factory for generations of men who gave their lives and efforts to serve the country. With the increase of their military capabilities, the diversification of their human competence, and the development of their training tools, the UAE armed forces have become a true embodiment of the concept of loyalty to the homeland, and the deepening of cohesion among its people.
The organization of the military parade “Union Fort”, which is held every year in one of the emirates of the country, is an occasion to show the courage, dedication and high professionalism of the armed forces, and enables the public to witness the most prominent characteristics of strength and integration between the various military units, in addition to familiarizing themselves with the combat capabilities, the features of commitment and discipline that characterize the armed forces, their speed, flexibility and high efficiency, all of which reflect their ability to carry out military operations to defend the homeland and protect its security, and reflect the essence of the values that every citizen who is keen to support the security of his country should possess.
This military parade(exercise) will highlight the expertise and morale of the armed forces across several scenarios of different live battles, including an air operation to rescue hostages. One of the important aspects of this operation is to highlight the close coordination and cooperation practiced by the armed forces and security forces when dealing with threats in their various forms.
Union Fortress 8, which will be held to coincide with the UAE’s celebrations of its fiftieth year, in which we recall the efforts of the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in developing our armed forces, progressing and upgrading them… and what brought them to this advanced stage, with the help of our wise leadership under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, “may God protect him”, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him.” , supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The UAE armed forces, which were based on protecting the security of the homeland, will remain an eye that never sleeps, keen on the progress of the UAE among nations, and continue supporting the development process at all levels.
