For the first time in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, the World Expo is being held, so it is a historic moment, not only for this young country and the BIE, but also for the region and the world at large.
The announcement of Dubai winning the bid to host the international trade fair “Expo 2020” was not surprising, as it and the UAE have all the qualifications required to host this great event. The UAE has firmly set its feet among the giants of the world, and has taken the reasons for progress after it has harnessed all its wealth in order to build a new human being and a state based on very humble capabilities.
We are proud of what Dubai has achieved, and we are proud of the feat of the visionary leader, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, who truly embodied the spirit of challenge to all difficulties and challenges that stand in the way of development through his insistence on achieving the first position and achieving the best for the citizens, residents, and visitors of the land of the United Arab Emirates.
We will have the opportunity to show the world what the Emirates is, who are the sons of Zayed, and how the rich culture of our country is, and how we raced the world to be at the forefront of nations.
Hosting “Expo 2020 Dubai” is a badge of honor for every Emirati citizen and resident on its good land, as it represents a clear international recognition of the prestigious position occupied by the UAE at the global level.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum proved his love for the number one (position), when he said, “My people and I love the number one,” which indicates his efficiency in maintaining it, as he knew how to deal with success criteria and harnessed them to reach excellence and number one globally.
