Afghanistan: The Resounding Escape of Democracy

The horrific scene which we have watched on televisions showing thousands of desperate Afghan people clinging to moving US aircrafts at Kabul airport trying to flee the Taliban government which was expelled from the Afghani Capital twenty years ago to return back more confident and more rebelling and dangerous.

Despite of the attempts made by America in its longest war in its history, seeking to change the ideology and to democratize the country, however, the end was a tragic one.

After the collapse of the popular reputation of the US campaigns as a result of the deterioration in Afghanistan and Iraq and its management style for many issues, Washington today and under the new administration requires to correct the approaches adopted by its predecessors and to reconsider the decisions issued by the current President till today.

Let us go back to Afghanistan, which due to the ideology, albeit it was very strict, but it managed with eighty thousand forces to control a country with 300,000 fighters equipped with advanced American missiles and a government which is said to be a corrupt!

Taliban forces was able to take over the American weapons which shall enhance its power, this remind us on how it was able with the anti-aircrafts to overcome the Soviet Union… the question is whether the US President Biden announcement to increase the number of the US forces to Afghanistan to 5,000 soldiers will be useful as some kind of threat!

Is the minor change in the Taliban’s statements about freedoms to allow women education and others shall be useful with the support of some countries, and under the Turkish mediation with its militias which we know that they are distributed in Syria, Libya among many others, while the Iranian movement is ideologically supported by some Afghani regions same as the “popular crowd”?! We watch to see what the world’s decision could be on leaving the Afghani movement change itself in a hand of a power that kill any opponent or we will be repeating the same scenario after the September 11 attacks, it might be a land for the opium moving among countries of the world and the militias supported by countries that have imposed their demonization for decades!

Shall their victory increase the power and popularity of the extremist groups again, which may repeat the scenario of the American support for the Muslim Brothers in 2011?!
