The Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully tested the indigenously-made Nirbhay long-range cruise missile, which was designed and developed in India by the Aeronautical Development Corporation in collaboration with the Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
The “Nirbhay” missile was developed to be launched from sea and air platforms. This missile can fly at different altitudes, often ranging from 500 meters to 4 kilometers above the surface of the earth, which reduces the chances of detection by hostile radar systems, as it can circumvent the target and conduct several maneuvers before attacking it. The “Nirbhay” missile has the ability to penetrate deep into enemy territory and engage enemy targets with high accuracy.
