Russia Overhauls Tor Air Defence System

Russian engineers at the “Kupol” electro-mechanical factory are conducting a radical modification of the Tor short-range air defence missile system, multiplying its combat capabilities and cost-effectiveness.
The Tor air defence system is designed to protect the frontline of mechanized infantry formations from missile strikes, cruise missiles, aircraft, helicopters, and drones. One of the system’s key features is its ability to detect and destroy high-priority threats.
Tor is a short-range, self-propelled anti-aircraft missile system that operates at low and very low altitudes and is effective in all weather conditions.
Moreover, it is designed to handle warplanes, helicopters, cruise missiles, guided aircraft bombs, and short-range ballistic missiles.
