Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court inaugurated on February 20, 2023, the 16th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2023) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

IDEX & NAVDEX 2023 set record results upon their conclusion

On February 24, 2023, the largest edition in the history of IDEX and NAVDEX 2023 exhibitions concluded its activities, achieving historical records in the volume of participation and deals made over the 5-day event, with the number of visitors reaching 132,507.

Furthermore, the 2023 edition of NAVDEX and IDEX saw an increase in the number of participants, exhibitors, visitors, partnerships and the deals announced in this global event, in addition, the event attracted a record number of leaders and decision-makers, with over 367 official delegations flocking to the event from all over the world.

The two exhibitions made significant contributions to the process of transferring and localizing advanced technical knowledge in the UAE and raising the efficiency and capabilities of national cadres, through the panel sessions and workshops included in the activities of the two exhibitions and the accompanying conference, which attracted more than 1,800 participants from all over the world, leading to the Worthiness and Safety Conference, which was held for the first time on the sidelines of the exhibitions and witnessed wide participation from decision-makers and specialists in the sector.

Moreover, the number of national companies participating in the two exhibitions rose to 216 exhibiting companies, which represents a growth rate of 50% compared to the previous session.

23.34 billion dirhams worth of deals at IDEX and Navdex 2023

Tawazun Council, the government agency working closely with the Ministry of Defence, security agencies and Abu Dhabi Police to enhance purchasing value through innovative systems for managing acquisitions and budgeting, announced that the Ministry of Defence and Abu Dhabi Police made 56 deals worth 23.34 billion dirhams over the 5-day event.
