Through its national pavilion in the 9th edition of the Indo Defence Expo & Forum, the UAE has showcased its latest products and services.
Held from 2 to 5 November, at the International Exhibition Center in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, in conjunction with Indo Aerospace Expo & Forum and the Indo Marine Expo, The Indo Defence Expo is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the defence, maritime and aerospace in the world.
The UAE pavilion, organized by the Emirates Council for Defense Companies and managed by the Tawazun Council, included various platforms showcasing innovative defence, air and security products and solutions, which reflected the progress achieved by the UAE’s defence industries.
For her part, Executive Director of Corporate Communication at Tawazun Council, Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, said that participation in the Indo Defense Expo represents an opportunity to display national progress achieved in the development and production of the latest technological solutions in the defence and security industries, bearing the “Made in UAE” label.
Furthermore, she explained that the UAE’s pavilion at the exhibition contributed to introducing visitors from various global defence sectors to the tremendous development that the national defence and security industries achieved, as well as the opportunities for cooperation available in this sector.
The Tawazun Council is responsible for managing acquisitions, procurement and contracts for the defence and security sectors in the UAE, working to enable innovation and technological development through partnerships, investments, support and cooperation.
The UAE pavilion included platforms for various leading Emirati companies specialized in military and civil technological industries, such as Edge, AMMROC, Rabdan Academy, Al-Fattan, Al-Hamra, Etimad, Calidus and Gal.
The Defense Companies Council’s organization of the national pavilion at the expo comes as part of its efforts to enhance cooperation opportunities and facilitate communication between the defence and security sectors in the UAE and the rest of the world.
