The UAE concludes its participation in the Thailand Defence and Security Exhibition 2023

Organized by the Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC), The UAE’s national pavilion participated for the first time in the 11th edition of the Thailand Defence and Security Exhibition 2023, held from November 6 to 9, 2023 at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok.

The UAE’s participation in the Defence and Security 2023 Exhibition reflects the depth and strength of the bilateral relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Thailand, and the joint work to create new paths for cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Moreover, it enhances the orientation towards sustainability in the defence and security sector, while showcasing the developments in the UAE’s military and defence industries sector, as well as promoting national products and local industries carrying the “Made in the UAE” mark.

The UAE Pavilion

The UAE pavilion at the exhibition included several government entities such as the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, and leading national companies in this field, namely EDGE Group, Al Yah Satellite Communications (Yahsat), International Golden Group, GAL-AMMROC, Bin Hilal Enterprises, Al Jundi Journal and IDEX LLC.

The UAE’s national pavilion at the exhibition was a huge success, drawing large crowds and VIP guests with senior decision makers, high-ranking military officers, and visitors from around the globe all flocking to the pavilion.

Through its participation in the exhibition, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development showcased the capabilities and opportunities in industrial partnerships aimed at facilitating investment in Abu Dhabi and meeting the needs of international investors.

EDGE Group highlighted its advanced range of solutions and products it provides in the fields of air, land and naval systems, ammunition, weapons, electronic warfare solutions and cyber technology.

Yahsat showcased its latest advanced technological solutions in communication systems, while GAL-AMMROC highlighted capabilities that enhance its position as a leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for aircraft.

Bin Hilal Enterprises displayed its projects in ground-based air defence systems, while International Golden Group showcased its RWS-equipped armoured vehicles. The participation of IDEX LLC. focused on promoting the International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2025.

Moreover, the pavilion included Al Jundi Journal issued by the UAE Ministry of Defence, which provided media coverage for the pavilion throughout the exhibition.

On this occasion, Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of EDCC, said: “The UAE’s participation at Thailand’s Defence and Security 2023 Exhibition affirms the unlimited support the defence and security industry receives from our wise leadership, and its ambitious vision to enhance this vital sector and the quest for sustainable development of local capabilities.”

She added that through its participation in the exhibition held under the theme “Power of Partnership”, the Council affirms its commitment to continue efforts to strengthen relations with officials, experts, decision-makers and relevant parties in the defence and security sector, and enable effective partnerships between local and global companies specializing in defence and security industries.

This is a great opportunity to develop local supply chains and open new markets for our national products.
