EOS Defence Systems participates in IDEX 2021

EOS Defence Systems, which is based in Abu Dhabi / Tawazun / its headquarters, has participated in the International Defence Exhibition “IDEX 2021,” .

Eng. Abdul Rahman Abdullah Al Balushi, CEO of EOS in the UAE, affirmed keenness to actively participate in the IDEX 2021 exhibition, which facilitates the company’s access to a large segment of customers, reviews its products, and introduces the strategic expansion plans in the coming years.

Al-Balushi said that the global exhibition constitutes a good opportunity to communicate with current or potential partners to introduce the modern defence technologies that the company is working to develop, indicating that EOS has exhibited 5 land-based weapons control systems of the type R150 during IDEX. The “R400” on 5 different land vehicles, two of which are on unmanned vehicles, and were displayed on the platforms of various local and international companies, in addition to the display of four marine systems of the type “R400S” on three local marine boats manufactured in the UAE, and were displayed during Naval Defence Exhibition “NAVDEX 2021”.

He added that the company has also displayed the automatic control system “R800” for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa. The system is considered a new generation of automatic weapon control systems, and the system includes the American “MK 44” weapon and the “7.62 mm” coaxial weapon in addition to anti-armor missiles, which are lightweight, as the system weight with weapons does not exceed 800 kg.

The company also has displayed on its platform for the first time an integrated system to deal with drones, and this system includes various weapons, including the advanced laser weapon, which is considered the most recent around the world, and the system is characterized by great accuracy and high ability to destroy drones of various sizes at distances of up to eight kilometers.

The company has also exhibited other products in the field of space and communications, and will sign several agreements with local and international companies that will be announced during the exhibition.
