Mattar Salem Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, headed a delegation of senior officers and officials from the ministry, which attended the SAHA EXPO Defence and Aerospace Exhibition 2022 in Türkiye.
The exhibition, which is witnessing the participation of over 750 local and 250 international companies, will continue until 28th October, with the aim of attracting 30,000 visitors.
On the sidelines of the event, Al Dhaheri met with Ismail Demir, President of Türkiye’s Defence Industries, to discuss their cooperation and ways of strengthening them, especially in defence and military areas. They also exchanged views on several issues of mutual concern.
Al Dhaheri then met with Muhsin Dere, Deputy Minister of Defence of Türkiye.
During the meeting, attended by senior officers, the two sides talked about their cooperation, as well as potential collaborations in military industries.
Al Dhaheri highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Türkiye, most notably in defence and security areas, as well as the importance of enhancing their cooperation and strategic partnership.
He then toured the exhibition and visited the pavilions of several countries, most notably Türkiye’s, and foreign companies.
