Despite corona epidemic conditions UAE is the source of positive messages for the region & the world

In February 2020, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “God bless him,” on the occasion of preparing to honor “makers of hope” in the region and the world, said that “the UAE message is a message of hope and optimism, thanks to our ability to make positive change for our societies.” The same meaning was referred to by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, addressing young people at the conclusion of the activities of “Mohammed bin Zayed Council for Future Generations” in March 2017, saying that “the UAE is like light in a dark land … Emirates A good example .. I am not exaggerating. I say numbers, and numbers do not cant. The Emirates regardless of challenges, is a good example for the Middle East region… During the 60 years that passed… How many positive messages came out of the Middle East to the world? Your country sends a positive message to the world every day. ”

Today, the United Arab Emirates is proving that it is truly the source of positive messages for the region and the world, even in light of the repercussions and difficulties of the Coronavirus epidemic. At a time when the whole world suffers from the difficulties of dealing with the epidemic, projects are stalled and development programs are stopped, the UAE remains the only one that sends hope and positivity to the people of the Arab region and the world, and faces the epidemic with one hand while the other hand continues to build and move forward in the way of development, progress and leadership.
If we only look at the month of June 2020, we will put our hands on many Emirati messages of hope that confirm that the leadership of the UAE does not recognize the impossible, and does not retreat in front of challenges, but rather becomes more determined with stronger will. Some of these messages can be noted as follows:-
1 The “Probe of Hope” on time, and “Corona” will not stop our march towards space:
Contrary to what many expected, the countdown to the launch and mission of the “Probe of Hope” was officially started to explore Mars, and the date of the launch of the probe was set on 15 July 2020. The Minister of State for Advanced Sciences, leader of the scientific team for the Emirates Mars Exploration Project, Sarah Bint Youssef Al-Amiri, confirmed that the start of the official countdown to the launch of the probe in time “is a message of hope and a new positive energy for humanity in light of the challenges and current conditions in the world.”
2 Emirati Academy for New Media, the first of its kind in the region:
On June 15, 2020, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the “New Media Academy”, which is the first academic institution of its kind in the region aimed at qualifying and building the capabilities of Arab cadres capable of leading the digital media sector, through a wide range of programs and scientific courses in the field of digital media using distance education techniques, and using the help of a group of the brightest global minds specialized in this field, in addition to representatives of the 4 most important international companies in the field of new media, within its educational staff, and these companies are: Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Google.
3 Barakah stations .. Work continues to achieve leadership in peaceful nuclear energy:
During the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to Baraka stations for peaceful nuclear energy in June 2020, His Highness sent many important messages through which he sent confidence and hope in society and among the people of the Emirates.
The first of these messages is that the UAE is proud of its national cadres working in the project and its exceptional efforts despite the conditions of Corona, and appreciates the efforts of global experiences and is proud of them, as His Highness expressed his pride in the great accomplishments that were achieved in the project, and treasured the commitment of the Emirati competencies that worked alongside with international expertise to ensure the highest safety standards in the first peaceful nuclear power stations in the Arab world.
The second message is that the UAE has an important role in the field of clean energy working to deepen and enhance it, where His Highness stressed that the Barakah peaceful nuclear energy stations project is a major historical project for the United Arab Emirates, which will enhance its position and leadership role in the growing energy sector friendly to the growing environment.
The third message is that the UAE is establishing successful partnerships with the world in favor of development, and in this context, His Highness praised the strategic partnership that exists between the United Arab Emirates and South Korea and its important economic contributions to both sides, especially in the peaceful nuclear energy sector. H. Hihgness also lauded the work teams of a group of Korean companies working in the Barakah nuclear power plants project.
4 Oil and gas industry.. Development is on its way to achieving its goals despite the challenges:
During his visit to the facilities of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company “ADNOC” for refining and petrochemicals in Ruwais, in June 2020, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, confirmed that the UAE continues to enhance its capabilities and development in the energy sector, and that the oil and gas industry in the UAE has achieved during the past years important qualitative leaps in the process of developing this vital sector, keeping pace with the development witnessed by the UAE in order to advance its economy and consolidate its role on the economic level regionally and globally indicating that the country is continuing to implement distinguished quality and ambitious future projects for the development of energy sector industry according to the highest international specifications.
5 UAE… The first regionally and the ninth globally in the Global Competitiveness for the year 2020:
In spite of the challenges posed by the Corona epidemic, the United Arab Emirates topped the countries for the fourth consecutive year in the Middle East and North Africa region in the Global Competitiveness Yearbook 2020 report, issued by the International Competitiveness Center of the International Institute for Administrative Development in the Swiss city of Lausanne in June 2020, which placed the UAE in the ninth place globally among the most competitive countries in the world. The UAE maintains Arab and regional leadership and is the first globally in 23 indicators and within the top ten globally in 106 sub-indicators. So, the UAE ranked first globally in the indicators of the absence of bureaucracy and resilience of residency laws and ratios of female representation in Parliament, the first globally in the partnership index between the government and private sectors, the first globally in the labor market axis and the second globally in behavior and values, the third globally in government efficiency and the fourth globally in Economic performance.
All of the above confirms a fundamental matter: that the Emirati exceptional experience in pursuing development and “resuming civilization” is a well-established experiment with strong structures and pillars, which are not stopped by difficulties, nor hindered by challenges, regardless of their nature or severity. The UAE people is making its way towards future and proceeding with confidence, and it will always send light and hope in the hearts of Arab peoples in times of despair and danger.
