Ahmed bin Tahnoun and Ohoud Al Roumi launch a program to enhance the readiness of female national service recruits for the future

Major General Pilot Staff Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority, and Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, launched an “important” initiative, in a new model for the concept of national service, focusing on Enhancing the readiness of female national service recruits for the future, and empowering them with future skills.

The “Important” initiative aims to empower all female recruits of the eleventh batch of national service with skills, enhance their readiness for the future, and provide them with the tools necessary to develop their professional and practical paths, through a specialized future skills building program that will continue for seven months and be implemented in partnership with the best national expertise.

Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between the authority and the Government Development Office and the future in the field of training and qualifying female national service recruits in line with government directions aimed at empowering Emirati women, which the UAE constitution approved the principle of equality between them and men, including It is commensurate with her nature, and the Emirati legislator gave her the opportunity to voluntarily join the national service to participate in giving back to her country.

The head of the authority said that this initiative is gaining its importance from the segment of the beneficiary, which is the Emirati woman, who is considered half of the society. Female national service recruits will have the opportunity to train, qualify and prepare for the labor market through many specialized training programs that will be held in cooperation with a number of partners specialized in this field. This contributes to providing female soldiers with new skills and knowledge, in addition to focusing on empowering them in the professional, digital and technological fields in preparation for the future.

He added that science is a path to the advancement, progress and well-being of peoples and is the way to improve the intellectual and cultural skills of Emirati women, who have received great attention and care from the wise leadership under the umbrella of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, may God protect and protect him.

For her part, Ohood Al Roumi stressed the importance of arming female national service recruits with future skills, and empowering them with a new model that enhances the concept of future readiness in national service, builds female soldiers’ capabilities and readiness, and constitutes an incentive for them to continue learning, self-development and acquisition of the necessary skills to participate effectively in building the future of the UAE.

The Minister of State for Governmental Development and the Future said that the initiative translates the directions of the UAE under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and the visions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him.” By consolidating the lofty values ​​of national service, empowering Emirati women, caring for young people and developing their skills to participate in building the country’s future.

She added that the partnership between the Government Development Office and the Future and the National and Reserve Service Authority within the “Important” initiative focuses on empowering female soldiers digitally, technologically and professionally, and providing them with the best future skills in cooperation with the best national and international expertise in the private sector and academic institutions.

The “Important” initiative program to enhance the readiness of female national service recruits for the future, which extends for 7 months, focuses on 4 main groups of future skills, including digital skills, creative skills, professional skills, and personal skills, through which female members participate in more than 50 training and specialized workshops.

The training activities include workshops aimed at supporting the journey of exploring opportunities and competition in the future labor market, through programs that focus on empowering them professionally, digitally and technologically, and providing them with basic skills to increase their readiness, hone their skills and develop their professional potential.

Topics covered by the “Important” initiative programs include many areas, such as programming skills, artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, automation, virtual reality, augmented reality, big data and analysis, and other scientific and technological topics, in addition to design skills, innovation, creative skills, flexibility and thinking skills. Proactive, self-development skills, goal setting, communication skills, customer service, and project management.
