The Pentagon has sought to develop new systems based on artificial intelligence that can be integrated into F-16 fighters in a way that enables them to remain in service for decades to come.
The American National Interest magazine indicated that the defense innovations of the “Pentagon” are working on developing integrated artificial intelligence systems that can be installed on the “F-16” fighters to monitor the performance of their parts during flight.
The magazine continued, “If systems are developed to enable the pilot to recognize the status of the aircraft and predict any problems that may lead to its failure, then this means improving the operational capabilities and combat capabilities of the aircraft, in addition to extending its life in service.”
