Ukraine tests a new truck-mounted artillery

Ukraine is conducting field tests of the new S22 155mm artillery mounted on the Bogdana truck, according to Armyinfor news agency which announced that the Kramatorsk Heavy Machinery Building Plant (KZTS) and the Ukrainian Army have started testing a new 155mm artillery system.

As part of the development work, the tests carried out aimed at verifying design solutions and requirements of technical tasks implemented in this weapon prototype, a new wheeled self-propelled howitzer (SPH) with a 155 mm cannon.

The new self-propelled artillery system, mounted on the Kraz Bogdana truck chassis, is capable of destroying command posts, armored and mechanized units, artillery batteries, communication centers and field fortifications. It is worth noting that these new mobile guns are equipped with a modern computerized fire -control system.

This new system is expected to have a minimum range of 780 meters and is capable of hitting targets at ranges of up to 40 kilometers using newly developed rounds.
