Developed in cooperation with the Norwegian company Nammo, the projectile which is fired from a 155 mm cannon, will use a hypersonic engine and has a range of 120 -150 km.

“This missile will help the U.S. Army meet its long-range precision fire modernization priorities,” said Boeing’s vice president and general manager.

For his part, the CEO of Nammo said, “Ramjet engines are feasible and can fundamentally change the future of artillery,” adding that the test represents a real technological breakthrough in artillery and a great success for Boeing, Nammo and the US Army.
