Israel Aerospace Industries has unveiled a new electronic warfare defense system, called “Scorpios” that can counter a range of threats, including drones, missiles and radar systems, as well as detect and strike a variety of air threats at different frequencies and ranges ranging from tens to hundreds of kilometers.
This system is capable of scanning a large airspace and launching an offensive beam that will blind the missile, drone, fighter or enemy glider, without confusing it with other aircraft in the area.
It is worth noting that the “Scorpios” system has five variants and operates on land, sea and air, and can be used for training. It will also be able to attack targets quietly and automatically, without doing more work by the operator.
