With all its details, The United Arab Emirates and the struggle for its establishment by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan is an inspiring Arab model of unity, solidarity and development, as well as a glorious chapter in the current story of Arabs.
The UAE is a state that weaved its colours into one fabric, making pluralism a strength, diversity a feature and forming a successful Arab unity with increasing political, economic, social and cultural achievements.
A few days ago, the second president of this unique Arab Federation after its foundation in 1971, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away.
Sheikh Khalifa, God rest his soul, was the man who persevered through the struggles of the founding fathers’ stage to build the Great Union, and he assumed several heavy responsibilities and succeeded in them, both at the level of Abu Dhabi and the state level.
The smooth mechanism of the transition of power in the Emirates was amazing, expressive and remarkable, as the rulers of the Emirates met and elected Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed as head of state in a brief meeting that did not exceed a few minutes, which isn’t surprising in the UAE or the Gulf countries, as it expresses the culture of this region and reflects a unique model that is still admired by the world.
From a young age, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed held several political and military positions, participating in the war to “liberate Kuwait” in 1990, being the right-hand man of Zayed Al-Khair in every mission, then a statesman, political leader, and heir to the reign of Khalifa Al-Khair, bearing on his shoulders the weight of responsibility and trust.
He is credited with developing the UAE military institution, education and many other development files.
In recent years, during which he performed his duties alongside the late Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed succeeded in transforming his country into an important economic, political and developmental power in the region and the world.
In recent years, the UAE has succeeded in diversifying its economy and has made huge strides in its renaissance and development in all fields, making pioneering achievements that made all Arabs proud.
Regarding foreign policy, the UAE had a remarkable international presence and effective diplomacy based on wisdom, moderation and firmness in patriotic and national positions, to become a model and a civil state characterized by balance, wisdom and maturity.
In fact, it is not possible in any way to talk about the pioneering Emirati model in the region without talking about the central role of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in building and developing this model, and adapting to difficult circumstances so that this model can rise and grow, transforming dreams and ambitions into reality, catching the eyes of the world today.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed participated in enhancing the importance of the stage of the late Sheikh Khalifa, God rest his soul, and with his wisdom and cunning, he raised he defended his country, establishing its renaissance and strength, and protecting its sovereignty.
Today, he strives to continue these successes, achievements and leadership with steadfastness, optimism and ambition towards the future to achieve its centenary goals, rising to a state of progress, prosperity and leadership.
May God have mercy on Sheikh Khalifa and support with his victory Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the finest successor to the best predecessor.
