US Navy receives new nuclear submarine

The US Navy recently received a new Virginia-class nuclear submarine.

The new SSN-793 submarine is the 20th Virginia-class submarine manufactured for the US Navy, and the third submarine in the country’s history to be named “Oregon”.

According to experts, the Block IV submarines are better at hiding from enemy radars and require less maintenance than the traditional “Virginia” submarines.

The length of the new submarine is 115 meters, and it has a water displacement rate of 7800 tons.

It can transport a crew of 134 people, move at a speed of 34 knots, and dive to a depth of 500 meters below the surface of the water.

The submarine’s armament includes winged Tomahawk missiles and 533 mm torpedoes.
