The US Army has achieved a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and capabilities of its High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs) fleet by installing ABS/ESC kits.
These kits aim to improve the overall performance of these vehicles, significantly reduce the risk of equipment damage, and play a crucial role in reducing the likelihood of serious injuries and casualties.
Currently, ABS/ESC upgrade activities are being conducted at 16 locations, including 12 sites within the United States and four sites outside the United States.
For nearly four decades, HMMWVs have been fulfilling a variety of roles, including weapons systems, command and control systems, mobile systems, as well as ammunition and cargo transport.
