Turkey Develops Special Submarines for Naval Landing Operations

Turkish company Dearsan has unveiled new submarines under development for special forces and naval landing operations, designated as “LCSUB.”

These submarines are currently in the preliminary design phase and can potentially be modified in the future to operate as autonomous guided submarines.

These submarines will feature robust and sturdy structures, high manoeuvrability in shallow waters, and the capability to carry 60 military personnel from special naval landing forces without being detected by the enemy.

They will be equipped with advanced monitoring and communication equipment, enabling them to function as intelligence-gathering platforms in naval landing operation zones.

Each submarine is 29.9 metres long, 5.2 metres wide, and has a water displacement of about 180 tons. Additionally, they will be equipped with electric propulsion systems.
