Turkey Develops Cruise Missile-Carrying Unmanned Combat Boats

Turkey is developing military unmanned boats equipped with cruise missiles, marking the first unmanned combat boats produced by the Turkish defence industry.

Two models of these boats have been manufactured, the Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW) model designed to handle surface water targets, and the Port Security (PS) model dedicated to protecting ports and maritime bases.

The ASuW version of these boats is equipped with ‘Cirit’ and laser-guided ‘L-UMTAS’ missiles. Meanwhile, the PS version is armed with 12.7mm machine guns, has a length of 11 meters, can sail at a speed of 35 knots, and has a range of 400 km.

Moreover, these boats come equipped with the ‘ÇAKIR’ cruise missiles, which weigh approximately 330 kg each and can be equipped with various warheads.
