The US Navy receives a new combat ship

The US Navy recently accepted delivery of the future USS Marinette (LCS 25) from Lockheed Martin and held a ceremony at the Wisconsin Shipyard to celebrate the event.

The new modified Freedom-class ship was developed by Lockheed Martin and Austal USA, and it is planned to start service next June.

The USS Marinette (LCS 25) is 115.3 m long, 17.5 m wide and has a water displacement of 2,862 tons.
The ship can reach speeds of 30 knots and has a range of 4,500 nautical miles per mission, in addition, it is armed with 57 mm cannons, 12.7 mm machine guns, and anti-ship and ground targets missile systems.
