The U.S. Army Tests Latest Anti-Tank Missile System

The U.S. Army announced in a statement that soldiers had commenced training on the new equipment for the lightweight Javelin Command Launch Unit, known as LW CLU, to learn the common components of the current system, differences in functionalities, and improvements in its destructive power.

In March 2021, the U.S. Army conducted a successful test of the latest version of an anti-tank missile system, the Javelin FGM-148F1 missile, an enhanced version of the FGM-148E missile, characterized by increased range, precision, and armor-penetrating capabilities.

This missile is considered one of the most significant weapons for the U.S. Army to counter the diverse and growing threats posed by competitive nations such as Russia and China.
