Tawazun Economic Council and Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2021), in Abu Dhabi.
The MoU aims to build strategic relations of cooperation, partnership and integration between the two sides to enhance the capabilities of the defence industries sector, explore potentials for joint projects and identify areas of cooperation in defence industry-related Research & Development (R&D).
The MoU complements the ongoing cooperation between the UAE and Saudi Arabia in military and defence fields. It comes on the heels of similar agreements and MoUs signed between the two countries to deepen cooperation in military and defence industries. They reflect the depth of the current historical relations between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
