Experts at the Russian “Ross Cosmos” space corporation have proposed designing a space gun to launch satellites. Russian experts intend to launch small satellites by using projectiles launched from an electromagnetic gun and carrying small satellites. Experts suggested that a high-speed railway gun to be used for this purpose. Experts pointed to the pros of this type of space guns, including the low cost of delivering satellites to Earth orbit and the speed of their launch. However, they warn of the high pressure to which the gun and satellites are exposed during launch. And that problem may be solved by using modern technologies.
