Russia develops new fighter drone

The Russian company “Inventors for the Front” has developed a fighter drone that can be launched without catapults in two minutes.

Engineers explained that launching conventional drones shaped like aeroplanes such as the “Orlan” or “Eleron” requires a catapult, and the process of deploying the catapult and launching the drone takes between 15 and 20 minutes.

However, given that the enemy’s artillery can target the individuals operating the drones, the cost of wasted minutes is soldiers’ lives.

Thus the new drone’s assembly process is very simple, and takes only two minutes, allowing for takeoff and landing without endangering the operator’s life.
