Russia develops new electronic warfare helicopters

Russian experts have developed new electronic warfare helicopters capable of detecting ground command positions of hostile forces, monitoring and jamming their communication signals.

Russia has many electronic warfare systems for aircraft and helicopters, including the “Richag” system, which is mounted on Mi-8MTPR-1 helicopters, which can deal with 8 hostile radar and wireless systems simultaneously, jamming those systems and making them unable to operate from a distance up to 150 km.

As for the modern military Mi-8-AMTShK helicopters, developed from the Mi-8MTPR-1 helicopters, they are multi-role helicopters that can be relied on in offensive operations and military landings, and have the ability to carry payloads of up to 13 tons, and fly for a distance of 610 km in each mission at 250 km/h speed.
