Pakistan unveils new cruise missile

Pakistan has revealed a new cruise missile named “Raad II”, which can be mounted on the wings of the JF-17 Thunder fighter.

“Raad II” is a long-range, nuclear-capable, air-launched cruise missile capable of carrying out deep strikes with a range of 650 km.

In 2020, Pakistan conducted a successful test of the locally developed winged missile “Cruise” capable of hitting its targets with high accuracy, after being launched from a combat aircraft, it can strike both land and sea targets.

The missile can reach speeds up to Mach 0.8, and carry nuclear and conventional warheads weighing 450 kg for a maximum range of 600 km.
