New Nuclear Submarine on its way to the Russian Northern Fleet

Russian navy’s newest nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine Generalissimo Suvorov is on its way from the Mediterranean Sea to the Barents Sea.

The submarine crew will undergo a combat training course and pass the necessary course assignments in the Russian Northern Fleet.

After completing the course, the ship will sail to its permanent base in the Pacific Fleet.

The “Generalissimo Suvorov” strategic missile submarine is the second submarine of the “Borey A” project built at the “Sevmash” production complex in Severodvinsk.

The Suvorov is a 4th generation nuclear submarine, equipped with missile systems, torpedoes, radio wave technologies, and sonar weapons, boasting high manoeuvrability and stealth technology.
