LUCH office develops SD-300 medium-range air defence system

The Kiev State Design Office (LUCH) took the opportunity at the exhibition of arms and security that took place in Kiev, from 15-18 June, to unveil the concept of a new medium-range air defence system, called SD-300.

The SD-300 surface-to-air missile system is designed to intercept various threats such as air-to-surface missiles, helicopters, aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, guided bombs and tactical ballistic missiles with a range of up to 100 km.

The company also noted, in exceptional cases, that it can be used to destroy moving targets inconsistent with ground (surface) radar.
