The US Army will soon receive the fastest helicopter in the world, with a speed of about 460 kilometers per hour. The helicopter can be viewed by watching a video posted by the company on its website.
The company has named the helicopter the Defiant, and it has undergone numerous tests, including air tests, at the request of the US Department of Defense. The helicopter accelerated during one of the tests to 247 knots, which is equivalent to a speed of 257 kilometers per hour.
Lockheed Martin stated that the Defiant will be equipped with modern driving devices that will ensure a safe flight at a low altitude while circumventing many obstacles in bad weather conditions.
