Japanese Navy receives new advanced missile ship

The Japanese company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is working on the 30FFM frigate manufacturing program developed for the Japanese army, which is expected to receive 22 of this type of frigate.

Each 30FFM frigate is 132.5 metres long, 16.3 metres wide and has a displacement of 5,500 tons.

This frigate is equipped with diesel and gas engines that enable them to move at a speed of 30 knots.

The new frigate is armed with 127 mm cannons, Mk 41 missile launchers, anti-ship missiles with a range of 400 km, 324 mm torpedoes, and 12.7 mm machine guns, in addition to platforms for carrying helicopters.
