Israel has unveiled a new version of the stealth Harop suicide drone, equipped with a compact electro-optical seeker to communicate with satellites.
Developed by IAI’s MBT Space Division, Harop is a loitering munition designed to loiter over the battlefield and attack targets upon command by crashing into them and exploding.
The current versions of Harop have a range of 1,000 km, a top speed of 417 km/h, and can loiter for up to 9 hours.
Harop has a service ceiling of up to 4,600 m (15,000 ft), comes armed with a 23 kg warhead and can hit targets accurately within 5 metres.
