Indonesia Equips Its Army with New Military Boats

The Indonesian Army has received a new batch of KCR-60M fast attack boats. The army celebrated the commissioning of two new fast boats of the KCR-60M type into its naval forces.

These boats were manufactured at the Indonesian state-owned shipbuilding yard, PT Pal, which had produced and delivered 4 KCR-60M boats in 2014 and 2019.

However, the latest two boats have undergone improvements in terms of the overall design, interior enhancements, and technologies to make them more stable during motion.

Each of the new KCR-60M boats measures 60 metres in length and 8 metres in width, with a displacement of 500 tons.

These boats can move at a speed of 30 knots, accommodate 55 personnel, and cover a range of 2,400 nautical miles in each mission.
