German “Rheinmetall” gets a request from NATO to equip it with modern artillery ammunition

The German defence company Rheinmetall has received a request from NATO to supply it with modern artillery ammunition. The contract will be executed by the company’s Rheinmetall Denel Munition in South Africa. Under the contract, Rheinmetall Denel Munition will supply NATO with conventional and extended-range artillery shells of the Assegai family. It will also provide modular tactical charges of the M92 Assegai, which are designed to propel 155mm artillery shells.
