China has unveiled a new laser defence weapon system that can target drones.
Developed by the China Space Sanjiang Group (CSSG), this laser can be mounted on vehicles and has a power output of 30kw capable of shooting small, and slow drones flying at low altitudes below one kilometre (0.6 miles) and a speed of around 200 kilometres (124 miles) per hour, according to a report by state-owned Global Times.
