The RAF announced that it was close to receiving unmanned combat aircraft. It said that the US company Spirit AeroSystems had signed a contract with the British Ministry of Defence to provide the latter with unmanned combat aircraft. It added: The UK’s 1st fleet of unmanned combat aircraft is about to receive, with a £ 30m contract signed with Spirit AeroSystems, a prototype designed and manufactured by the latter and capable of providing a battle-winning advantage for the RAF.
