Britain develops the first advanced “drone” submarine for military operations

The British company “Msubs” has developed the first autonomous military submarine (Drone) within the Center for Integrated Technology and Organic Synthesis (CiTOS) military project.

The autonomous submarine can reach a greater depth than all military submarines and travel 1,600 kilometres in a single trip.

Britain’s Royal Navy has awarded a contract worth $19 million to Msubs to build the submarine, which can navigate without a crew.

According to an announcement from the British Ministry of Defense, the British government plans to use the new submarine to protect sensitive infrastructure areas and monitor underwater activities within two years from now.

The submarine is similar in size to a two-decker bus with a length of 12 meters, a width of 2.2 meters, and a weight of 17 tons.

Furthermore, it can be placed in a shipping container, enabling its transport around the world and shipping to areas of military need.
