The Military Committee Organizing Dubai Airshow 2023 Holds Its First Meeting

The Military Committee organizing Dubai Airshow 2023 held its first meeting headed by Major General Dr Mubarak bin Ghafan Al Jabri, the Executive Director of the Committee, at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Dubai.

The 18th edition of the show will be held from November 13 to 17, 2023, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The event enjoys great support from the most influential entities in the sector, including Dubai Airports, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, The Ministry of Defence, Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects, and the UAE Space Agency.

“The UAE continues to consolidate its leading role in developing the global aviation sector and raising it to the best levels in terms of safety, sustainability, and technological advancement,” stated Dr Al Jabri.

An Exceptional Edition

This year’s edition will be exceptional and will address many important issues that will contribute to shaping the future of the sector. It will enhance the UAE’s position in organizing major international events and shed light on the latest developments in the space industry, which has become one of the most important strategic sectors that the country aspires to develop, especially in the fields of research, scientific missions, manufacturing, and building specialized competencies and capabilities.

The exhibition has achieved remarkable growth year after year, especially after the huge success of the 2021 edition, which led to deals worth more than $74 billion and attracted more than 104,000 visitors, including top executives and sector leaders from 148 countries.

Furthermore, this year’s edition will focus on showcasing sustainability initiatives and technologies from government entities and the aviation sector in general.

New Features

The Dubai Airshow 2023 offers new features, including an updated conference agenda that covers several main topics, such as the future of air travel and passenger experience, as well as the exclusive opening ceremony of the UAE’s Ministry of Defence’s UAE Safety and Effectiveness Conference.

Furthermore, this year’s edition will host the largest aerospace pavilion in its history, showcasing the latest technologies and solutions in the sector to drive innovation and sustainability in the aerospace industry.

This year’s edition of the Dubai Airshow will be held at Dubai World Central (DWC) with the participation of industry leaders and innovators to discuss and identify future trends and explore opportunities, in addition to shedding light on important topics such as space technologies, localization efforts in the sector through the “Make it in the UAE” campaign, and the pivotal role of startups in accelerating the pace of sustainability agenda implementation.
