Russia develops combat drones for the navy

In the second half of this year, Russian experts will begin work on a project to develop drones designed for reconnaissance and combat action with the ability to take off and land on ships and aircraft carriers and the project’s start of work documents are due for delivery in 2024.

The first test flight of the new drones is scheduled for 2025, and serial production of these drones will begin in 2026 to be delivered to the Russian Navy.

An informed source in the Russian military industry had stated that the new helicopter carriers that Russia is developing will be designed to carry attack aircraft that can be controlled remotely.
