Egypt Unveils Variety of Indigenously Produced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Egypt has unveiled various types of advanced, 100% locally manufactured unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the first time at the EDEX 2023 exhibition held in Egypt from December 4-7, 2023.

The drones include:

  • The “EJune-30 SW”, a reconnaissance drone capable of day and night imaging equipped with electromagnetic and SGA systems and can fly for up to 14 hours.
  • The “October 6”, a reconnaissance drone with a maximum speed of 260 km/hr, can fly continuously for 30 hours with an operational range of 240 km.
  • The “Taba 1” and “Taba 2”, target drones used by air defence forces and capable of detecting and tracking aerial targets.
  • The “AHMOS”, a reconnaissance UAV with a range of 240 km, a maximum speed of 260 km/hr, and a service ceiling of 7,000 metres.
